
As part of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation is organising a conference dedicated to multilingualism in the European area.
This event, which will be held on Monday 8 April 2024 at the Parliament of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, will bring together European experts specializing in issues of linguistic and cultural diversity.
The conference will offer a multidisciplinary and open platform to delve deeper into the issue of multilingualism. Four major themes will be addressed through round tables:
• Multilingualism, Democracy and Interculturality
• How to promote linguistic diversity and multilingualism within the European institutions?
• Artificial intelligence and linguistic diversity: impacts and opportunities?
• Youth, the future of linguistic diversity in Europe?
This meeting will also give a significant place to youth, with the active participation of students from the Master’s programs in European Studies of the French-speaking Belgian universities and the College of Europe in Bruges.
